HaYarkon Village serves as a welcoming home for 100 teenagers, aged between 15 and 18, who are defined as youth at risk. The Village aims to provide a supportive and nurturing space for these teenagers to grow despite the obstacles they may have faced. Besides providing accommodation, the village includes a school, a greenhouse, and a community center, which also serves the wider public.
Agricultural work is a key component of the school's educational program. We believe that work in nature builds life skills, and benefits mental health. As part of the planning principles, the building integrates into the natural topography of Napoleon Hill and overlooks the green landscape. This view helps youth at risk by offering a calm environment that supports their well-being. Being close to nature can reduce stress, improve mood, and encourage positive thinking, which is especially beneficial for their mental health and overall wellness.
